In recent years the stand out campaigns for Call of Duty always came from the Black Ops series far more than Modern Warfare titles. As a series, for me Call of Duty had become really stale and almost too copy and paste before it went far too gimmicky in gameplay and I stopped playing before returning last year with Call of Duty: The news that the single player campaign was being dropped completely for Black Ops 4 came as no surprise, there is only so many times you can spend a stupid amount of money to have Hollywood names provide voices for characters for a mode only a minority of the fanbase actually enjoys. So can the same full price for a game without SP campaign still be worth it? I do have to say right from the very start that I am really enjoying Call of Duty again now that the majority of the gimmicks have been removed from the MP such as exo-suits and wall running. For a time, it did seem that whatever seemed to be popular in other FPS games would always find their way into the next CoD release in some way which is one of the big reasons I put the series down for almost three years. But I can happily say close to everything I loved about the first Black Ops MP side is back this year and with the refreshing use of Specialists and Custom loadout classes, it feels new yet familiar. It has the right balance of rage and getting killed cheaply but fun in that I cannot put the MP down once I get going either in solo play or teaming up with friends. To start with players can choose any of the new Specialists to play in per match all of which have a unique special ability and skill set to use but the player can customise and pick the weapon load out.

The story stumbles in the second act when it strays away from the more evocative character focus in favor of a long stretch of back-to-back missions driven almost exclusively by guns-blazing combat. While not poorly done, this visually arresting, action-packed, but ultimately hollow middle stands in stark contrast to the effective first and final acts.

Just recently i have started getting problems with the zombies matchmaking. Right so don’t start saying its server overload cos its not, i have basically been trying to get into a public lobby with my friends so i have a full 4 player party.
I play online quite often just about every evening and I prefer to play zombies mostly. Currently working hard to master the “Origins” map and the furthest I’ve gotten is round I know how to get all the staffs, upgrade them, get the maxis drone etc. I usually tend to let other people get the staffs because I feel they’re not that great anyway, I usually get it when everyone else has got one first.
The reason I am looking for some people to play with, is that when I play on XBL, everyone leaves as soon as they go down! I do try to revive where I can, but this is not always possible as you might know. Sometimes it’s better to finish the round to prevent dying yourself and the game ending. It seems to be more related to these people probably angry teenagers actually dying than me reviving or not reviving them.
This is because they leave as soon as they die. I hardly ever die and if I do, I stick it out until the game finishes.

Black Ops 4 leans further into the character-based, more tactical approach of competitive first-person shooter gameplay. Black Ops 4’s multiplayer modes are more intimate in that they’re mostly 5 vs. And there are a good number of maps to play at launch, with 10 originals plus four returning Black Ops classics at launch and a free new Nuketown map releasing in November. What doesn’t work in our experience however, are the score streaks that Black Ops 4 still employs from previous games.
On several maps, during objective based modes, there are situations where players will endlessly spawn into gunfire with no option to spawn elsewhere. More then ever though, Black Ops 4 emphasizes team play and coordination so group with friends as much as possible! Specifically, this one’s set between the second and third entries for the purposes of toning back the future tech.
That means no more robot soldiers, and certainly no more wall-running and double-jumping. The negative is that Treyarch tries to fit in whatever narrative pieces they had leftover from the canned campaign into its tutorial mode, Specialist Headquarters, and it doesn’t quite work if you’re looking for that “narrative. The training element is great, and so are the cinematic teasers of each character’s origin story. There’s some sort of weird, incomplete connective thread weaving them all together but it feels incomplete and doesn’t go anywhere though.
Players can still power slide, but health regeneration is put in the players’ hands. In regular multiplayer, one of the new tactical layers forces players to manually decide when to heal – offering the choice of whether to keep fighting, or back off to heal up.
